Last night, I found my old diary. The one I maintained back in college (I actually managed to own 3: one in grade school, in highschool, and then the last one in college). So I guess that makes it 7 years old by now.
Amazing how so many things have changed in a span of 7 years. If there’s one thing that never did though, it’s probably my never-ending battle with weight loss. With my hilarious and vain efforts just to lose a couple pounds serving as a funny nod to it.
I definitely had a good time reading it, in between smiling, laughing, and face-palming myself. But mostly laughing and face-palming.
It reminded me how silly and superficial a teenage kid could be. Funny how we took ourselves seriously at that phase in our lives, thinking that we perceived things rationally like what an adult does. When, in fact, we didn’t know any better. Heck, 7 years later and I’m still none the wiser.
Reading my old entries definitely helped me put things in perspective.
Maybe I should keep a diary again just so I can laugh at my 25-year old self 7 years from now.
I’ll keep you posted!:)
